San Diego
Steve baked that beautiful bread by himself to celebrate New Year's Eve and our last day together. It was Delicious !!!
We bike toured for 5 weeks. During our adventure we became close friends. Sometimes was scary how well we knew each other.
Touring opened my mind and changed me forever.
Steve I'm glad we met you are good friend and
great companion !!!
I wish you good luck in upcoming cycling season

Bike Touring - Solvang, CA
The Lovely lady (Julie), is celebrating her birthday with us at Firestone Brewery. We would tell you how old she is, but you would never believe us anyway. We sang happy b-day and embarrassed Julie as best as possible and had a really great time.
(Left to Right)- Stevie- Johns cousin and wine dealer/hauler. Freddie- the local fix-it guy, Joe- physical therapist, John- teacher, Julie- teacher, Steve- hopeful pro-road bike racer, and Bartek- world traveler and hopefully construction engineer in the future. Quite a dynamic :)

From left to right: Joe, Steve, Bartek, John, and Julie.
John invited us over for some good local Mexican food, appetizers, and fine beverages. The Padfield's also invited us to stay for the next 2 nights, in which we had our own room, extra hot showers, and laundry. The night was a blast and the stories shared will always be memorable (watch out for the squirrel killer).
Thanks a lot guys, we really enjoyed our stay and would not trade this experience for anything. John and everyone included went out of their way to help us in enjoying our stay.
Hope to see ya soon, Christmas!!!

Bike Touring - Solvang, CA
Solvang - Danish Capital of the U.S. and quite possibly the west coast Capital of Hospitality- (Great People)
Bike Touring - Solvang, CA
The 6th grade math class grew to include a couple more classes; so we moved to the computer lab and gave a semi-slide show presentation of our recent adventures. Mr. Padfield's class was most attentive and their questions and interest was greatly appreciated. It was extremely enjoyable to get such inquisitive questions, many of which we have not been asked before.
Thanks for the Time and the Hospitality and a special thank-you goes out to,
and all the teachers who allowed us to share our experiences.
Also: Happy Belated 60th Birthday John!

Bike Touring
There are sure a lot of Montanians on the road this time of year. Father and son, (Rich and Tim) headed west from Missoula, Mt. up over the steep pacific-northwest range, known as the Cascades, then toured south through Washington, OR, and Northern Cal. Destination- as far as time and money will get them. Simply put- just two genuinely good souls.
